This tool gives a structure and guidance for summarising the relevant secondary data available in a context. The Secondary Data Review Report is prepared after assessing the quality and relevance of recent assessments conducted (censuses, multi-sector needs assessments, local government surveys, etc) for addressing the objectives of the profiling. The information on the secondary data is documented in the accompanying tool, the Secondary Data Review Matrix. This Secondary Data Review Report concludes with an analysis of how the secondary data can contribute to the profiling, and how the primary data collected through the profiling exercise can in turn complement and fill information gaps.
